Pacific Northwest-Inspired Teas: A Guide to Our Coastal Blends

A ceramic mug of tea and a dish of loose leaves on driftwood overlooking a misty coastline with evergreen trees and rocky headlands.

A coastal walk, a forest trail, or a quiet afternoon in a Pacific Northwest town can inspire a memorable tea break. Our blends bring those places and moments into flavor stories, from smoky woodland character to refreshing mint and fruity green tea.

Start with the flavors you enjoy, then discover the story behind the cup. Pacific Northwest inspiration does not mean every ingredient is grown in the region. Where a blend has a specific local ingredient or collaboration, we share that detail below.

For smoky woodland character: Beards Hollow

Beards Hollow is a rich, robust loose leaf blend built around organic Lapsang Souchong. Its pronounced smoky flavor is joined by blackberry leaf, cedar leaf, juniper berries, and pure extracts.

Choose it when the idea of a cup beside a campfire appeals to you. The tea base contains caffeine, and the flavor is distinctly smoky rather than a light herbal infusion.

For a woodland-inspired honeybush blend: Woodland Trek

Woodland Trek combines honeybush with licorice, Washington hops, cedar tips, and a hint of sweetness from bee pollen. Its flavor story recalls camping evenings and hikes through the Cascades.

Explore it in the Pacific Northwest Outdoor Tea Set, alongside Beards Hollow and Mountain Valley Mint. Each blend comes in a resealable ½ oz pouch, with all three packaged in a muslin pouch bearing the hand-stamped Beach House Teas logo. Woodland Trek is identified as caffeine-free in our Weekend Warrior set; the Outdoor Tea Set as a whole is not caffeine-free because it also includes Beards Hollow.

For a refreshing trail-inspired cup: Mountain Valley Mint

Mountain Valley Mint takes its inspiration from fresh mountain air and quiet Pacific Northwest trails. Peppermint and spearmint combine with lemon verbena, basil, apples, and pure extracts for cool, crisp mint flavor and a clean finish.

This naturally caffeine-free herbal blend can be enjoyed hot or iced. It’s our recommendation when you prefer a mint-forward cup over smoky or spiced flavors.

For blueberries from the Long Beach Peninsula: Blueberry Beach Breeze

Blueberry Beach Breeze features organic blueberries handpicked from a farm on Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula. Green tea, blackberry leaf, hibiscus, stevia, peppermint, lime peel, and pure extract complete this light, fruity blend.

Try it for a berry-forward tea with coastal character, hot or cold. It contains caffeine from green tea and includes stevia in its ingredient list.

For Astoria-inspired spice and herbs: Astoria Explorer

Astoria Explorer is inspired by Astoria, Oregon, and Pacific Coast exploration. Organic black tea is blended with cinnamon, thyme, sage, rosemary, and licorice root.

Choose it for a cup that brings spice and herbs together over a black tea base. It contains caffeine and makes a different starting point from a plain breakfast-style black tea.

For a South Bend collaboration: Elixir Riverside Rooibos

Elixir Riverside Rooibos was crafted for Elixir Coffee Shop in South Bend, Washington. Organic rooibos, ginger root, apples, and lemon peel create a blend with smooth rooibos character, zesty lemon, warming ginger, and sweet apple flavor.

It’s a local collaboration to explore when apple, citrus, and spice are more your style than mint or smoke.

Choose a coastal collection

For woodland, smoky, and minty flavors, start with the Pacific Northwest Outdoor Tea Set. For an entirely caffeine-free trio, choose the Caffeine-Free Weekend Warrior Tea Set, which includes Beach Cottage Comfort, Mountain Valley Mint, and Woodland Trek.

For a range of coastal tea styles, the Beach Getaway Tea Set brings together Beach Cottage Comfort, Blueberry Beach Breeze, and Fog Horn Grey. Its sweet herbal, fruity green tea, and slightly creamy Earl Grey flavors come in three resealable ½ oz pouches within a logo-stamped muslin pouch. This collection includes both caffeinated and caffeine-free blends.

Bring the story into your tea ritual

Pick a blend for its flavor first, then enjoy the place or moment that inspired it. Check the full ingredients and caffeine information for your preferences, and follow each pouch’s brewing directions. A coastal-inspired tea break can happen wherever you put the kettle on.
